Beyond Diamonds: The Rise of Coloured Gemstones

As the debate between natural and lab-grown diamonds continues to muddy the market, a clear shift is taking place: shoppers are turning their attention to coloured gemstones. This year has brought a welcome and somewhat unexpected rise in customers seeking coloured stones, or re-purposing heirloom gemstones driven by a growing desire for jewellery that feels unique and personal.

Celebrities are also embracing more colourful ways to adorn their hands and skin. Stars like Victoria Beckham, Lady Gaga, and Penélope Cruz have been choosing emeralds, sapphires, rubies, and pearls surrounded by diamonds, rather than diamonds alone.

Shopping for coloured gemstones is a genuine adventure — the range of hues, lustre, and shades makes the whole experience exciting and full of discovery.

At the moment, coloured gemstones are considerably more affordable than diamonds and can be purchased in larger sizes for the same budget.

If you're interested in exploring a coloured gemstone, don't hesitate to get in touch — which one would you choose?

Jewellery Care

Fine Jewellery is delicate and should be cared for accordingly. To extend the life of your jewellery, please follow these care instructions:

  • Take off your items before your daily rituals such as - showering, applying lotion, perfume, exercising, washing dishes, etc.

  • Before bedtime, lay your jewellery out flat on a fabric surface to avoid tangling and/or scratching.

  • To clean your jewellery, use a soft toothbrush with dish soap and gently scrub the metal and diamonds. We do not suggest an ultrasonic cleaner.

  • Do not clean any semi precious gemstones or pearls with chemicals, abrasives, or solvents.
